Covid Relief Campaign

Covid-19 pandemic affected the lives of the whole Maldivian community especially those medium to low-income group families. Due to the sudden lockdown, and restrictions, there were many families who either lost their jobs or were victims of salary deductions. With this unexpected change, these families were unable to pay rent, utilities and could not afford proper meals. Most of these families were living with little children and their lives were affected drastically.

Covid-19 Relief Campaign – an initiative by MOMS in association with Ehee Jamiyya to help these vulnerable families by providing care packages. These care packages include essential food items, hygiene, and baby care products.

A total of 108 families were provided with care packages including 54 families from the Greater Male’ region and 54 families from other atolls. In addition to this, an additional 48 families were provided with financial support.
